Sam Adams - Guitarist

I began playing the guitar when I was ten. At that time I was mostly interested in Bluegrass. In my teens I was into rock and roll. I played briefly with Suicidal Tendencies and also with Lenny Kravitz, appearing in Kravitz's video, "Always On The Run." I was awarded a full music scholarship to USC to study classical music and play in the symphony on my other instrument, the acoustic bass. During college I fell in love with Brazilian music and became obsessed with Bossa Nova. After attending USC I received a BA in spanish and portuguese from San Diego State University. I was given a full scholarship to The Music Adademy of the West in Santa Barbara in 1988 & 1989. I have lived and worked in Brazil, Costa Rica, France and Spain.
